Your Next Chapter Starts with a Card
Step into a world of suspense, surprise, and larger-than-life characters with The Pulp Tarot by Todd Alcott. This 78-card tarot deck recasts tarot imagery with characters from the history of pulp illustration, bringing a fresh perspective to the stories you discover in your readings. A short instruction booklet is included.
Love and bravery, fear and happiness: the themes that make a gripping story also give tarot its enduring appeal. Bring a question to the cards and explore the narrative that unfolds, whether you're considering a personal crossroads, journaling about a recurring theme, or simply enjoying an imaginative new take on tarot.
Where Tarot Meets Pulp Storytelling
Tarot began as playing cards in the 15th century before becoming a tool for divination. Pulp magazines found their peak amid Depression-era longing for escapism, with their influence continuing through modern genres and storytelling. The Pulp Tarot brings these two traditions together: a cast of pulp characters steps into tarot's world, offering unexpected points of view and new ways to consider familiar themes.
