Denver Gem Show 2025 Recap

I was able to attend the Denver Gem Show this year--my first visit in 5 years-- and it was great to be back! Although, I can tell you that hauling around hundreds of pounds of rocks with a little wagon is not as easy as it was 5 years ago. I may be getting a bit older...Ha ha

I was fortunate to have my mother as a traveling buddy on this trip and that made the experience even more special. The Denver Gem Show itself has over 12 miles of vendor tables and over 500 vendors from all over the world. It truly is an international experience and I've never been to anything like it. A massive market of crystals and stones, fossils, and handicrafts from around the world.

On the first full day there, my little cart broke that I was using to haul rocks. The plastic washer on the handle gave out, so I spent the rest of the trip using a backpack. But it worked out well because I'd already gotten the large flats of stones that I'd been looking for, so we made it work!

On the way back to the hotel on the second day, a severe thunderstorm hit and knocked out the power all around the hotel and gem show. It happened while I was driving, and let me tell you, 4-way stops in busy Denver are not a fun time. Luckily by the time we got to the hotel the power was back on and the elevators were working--which was excellent news because we were exhausted from walking all day.

That night at around 5:00 am the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate and stand outside for a bit until the firefighters deemed the building safe. Judging from the plastic smell on the 2nd floor, I think someone had a microwave mishap. Incidentally, this is the second time I've had to evacuate a hotel in the middle of the night on a trip to the Denver Gem Show....I don't know if that's a sign or not. Ha ha

We spent about 2 and a half days there and loaded up my little SUV with tons of cool stuff and I am so excited to share it all with you! If you check out the "NEW" section of the website you will see some of the finds from the show have started to make their way there, but I am only a fraction of the way through photographing and listing it all. I just added the beautiful Selenite Jars I found, Woolly Mammoth hair (isn't that cool??), and other fun stones and crystals.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to sign up for my newsletter and follow the emporium on Facebook so that you can be notified as new things are added. Many of these items are in small quantities and I may not be able to get more until the next show in 2026.

I hope you enjoy all of these fun things from crystals to fossils to artifacts (more Roman glass coming!). It was certainly and adventure to get them all, but it was a fun adventure!
